This Privacy Policy explains how PeerMe ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our study platform. By using PeerMe, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and password (passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider and are never visible to us).
- Profile information you provide: full name, profile photo, city, employer, bio, ACCA level, the papers you are studying, and whether you are open to a study partner.
- Content you create: posts, comments, reactions, uploaded study resources, and study-partner connection requests.
- Technical data: basic information needed to operate the service, such as session tokens stored in your browser.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and profile.
- To provide core features: circles, discussions, the resource library, study-partner matching, and notifications.
- To keep the platform secure and to enforce our community guidelines.
Who can see your information
Your profile, posts, comments, and uploaded resources are visible to other signed-in members of PeerMe. Your email address and password are never shown to other users. We do not sell your personal data.
Data storage
Your data is stored using Supabase, our database and authentication provider. Uploaded files (avatars and study resources) are stored in access-controlled storage.
Your rights
You can edit your profile at any time. You can delete your account permanently from your profile page; doing so removes your profile, posts, comments, reactions, uploaded resources, and connections. For any privacy request, contact us at the email below.
